Went to the Wigmore Hall yester-eve for a string quartet and a wind quintet (plus piano for Poulenc’s Sextet). Probably bestest piece was Six bagatelles by Ligeti. Quite hanker after learning oboe. Or cello. There are two doors at the back of the stage, and we’ve only seen organisers and performers emerge from the right hand door so far. What is the mysterious second door.
